So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

The passage isn’t asking for us to claim our household since we can’t claim someone else’s salvation. It means if our household believes too, they will be saved. If claiming were possible, there’ll be no need for preaching.

Don’t get holed up in your closet, just interceding  and claiming salvation for people, rather get the Word of God planted in them.

having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

No New Testament Model

  • There’s no model for paid “prayer warriors” or “intercessors” in the new testament
  • Yes, demons posses people and cities, and even in church services.
  • No, you can’t keep the devil out of churches; since he entered Judas after Jesus administered communion at the Last Super, it means he was present.
  • If Christ couldn’t keep him away, what makes us think we can

  • You have to be half-superstitious to believe some weird stuff that goes on in churches today!
  • You can’t even cast out demons from people against their will

Dealing With Diana

  • An international group of 20,000 intercessors organized to meet at the amphitheater in Ephesus, in Turkey, to bind a demonic entity named Diana who’s thought to be responsible for holding Muslims bondage.
  • Paul dealt with Diana in Acts 19 by preaching the truth about God being The Only God and people gradually abandoned the worship of Diana.

Who Brought Whom?

  • Demonic entities derive their power from people who believe and act on their lies
  • Evil spirits can’t dominate or control anyone against their will
  • People bring the spirits and not vice versa – spirits follow people
  • Rebuking spirits through intercession and prayer over cities is ineffective.
  • Preach the truth and the people will abandon the spirits and the spirits eventually leave

Believe, Go & Do!

  • The Holy Spirit can lead us, but it’s up to us to actually believe, and act on our belief to win souls by preaching the word of God
